Wee Baby Luke
Luke is one year old! Already?? How did that happen? I have loved watching Luke grow up! And I've loved watching Sarah & Brian's lives change... first engagements, then wedding, now baby pictures. What a legacy! So honored to be your photographer for life! Happy Birthday Mr. Luke!!

Wee Baby Emma
YAY! Squishy newborn baby pictures! Sweet Emma was born to one of our past couples - Charla and Joe. I LOVE when my past couples contact me with baby news. Photographing a family's legacy and ever-evolving story is the biggest reason I love my job! Emma was a perfect angel... she zonked out not long after I arrived and let us completely man-handle her. I like to call it "gumby-baby" syndrome... not a care in the world!
Can't wait to watch you grow little Emma. And congrats Charla and Joe, she's beautiful!

Lauren & Frank's engagements : Downtown Fort Worth
What an amazing session with Lauren & Frank! Having met at TCU it was only right that we ventured in Cowtown for their engagement session, hitting a few of my favorite spots. Afterwards, we shared a fabulous dinner in Sundance Square at one of their favorite restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed our "playtime" and enjoyed, even more, our chance to get to know one another so much better!
You guys are wonderful! Can't wait until October!

Beth & Scott: First United Methodist Dallas and Edison's
Beth and Scott were married back in January, somehow I missed blogging this wonderful wedding! Terrible me...
Beth and Scott came to me as a referral from one of my past couples.. yeah! We hit it off from day one and I knew they would be an absolute joy to work with! Their wedding took place at the stunning First United Methodist Church in downtown Dallas with the reception at Edison's. Their traditional church ceremony was cozy and inviting, and the lounge feel to the reception made everyone comfortbale and relaxed. The drizzly weather couldn't keep everyone from having an absolute blast!
A big thank you to my fab friend Michelle Jones with Peyronet Photography who assisted me and got some awesome images as well.
Congrats newlyweds!
Props to the amazing team of vendors:

The Russell Family portraits!
The fabulous Russell Family received a portrait session gift certificate for Christmas... was a awesome gift idea (hinthint)!
They totally trusted me when I told them we were meeting in the swank rundown area of Fort Worth! Only the best for my clients. It took their daughter a little while to warm up to me but once she did she had a blast, as so did we! :)

Today is my anniversary, and I have a confession to make...
I have a Creative Memories scrapbook as my wedding album. I know, I know, it's disgraceful and I am ashamed. However, I know this is a safe place and I feel it's time to come clean. What better day than on my 11 year wedding anniversary to confess my regrets for not hiring a true professional?
I did the best I could with what I had:
Don't get me wrong, the pictures I do have are great, our photographer was a great photographer... but he was a terrible businessman. A scoundrel and a scheister in fact. He tried to skip town and leave us high-and-dry without our album OR the images! With my CIA background (kidding) I was able to track him down and threaten him in no uncertain terms... "I want my negatives, punk, or it's gonna get ugly." So I was delivered exactly that: 30 rolls of negatives. No prints, no proofs, no online posting, no digital files. Honestly, a Creative Memories scrapbook was as good as it got for us.
So I leave you today with a 'silver lining' message: It's not too late for you! Hire a true creative and business professional on your wedding day, spend the money on a great photographer and an amazing album. It's the one indulgence that won't ever leave you with buyers remorse! Trust me...
